131st Annual Dinner & Business Awards Nominations

The Sacramento Metro Chamber is now accepting nominations for the 131st Annual Dinner & Business Awards, recognizing extraordinary regional leaders.


Scheduled for January 23, 2026, this historic tradition—dating back to 1895—honors those whose leadership, passion, and dedication strengthen the vibrancy and future of our Capital Region.


Please note: You can make more than one nomination, please submit separate nomination forms for each one.


Sacramentan of the Year

Selected by Awards Committee

Given annually to a person who has made a significant contribution to the well-being of the region over a long period of service. This is a lifetime community award, not necessarily a business award. 


Businessman AND Businesswoman of the Year
Selected by Awards Committee

Given annually to recognize contributions to the growth of their enterprise over a five-year period. In addition, community service is also considered. 

 

Small Business of the Year
Selected by Awards Committee

Awarded to a small business that has a history of outstanding business practices in the six-county region and has acted in support of the small business community. This award is to honor the entrepreneurship, sustainability, productivity and effort put forth in a small business. A small business is recognized as 20 employees or less.

 

Al Geiger Memorial Award 

Selected by Awards Committee 

Al Geiger was the chairman of the Black Chamber when he died suddenly in 1994. This award is meant to honor someone who has served as a role model to the community, specifically to motivate people to serve the community. It is not specifically designated for minority awardees but is intended to recognize someone who has been a mentor or motivational force to minority or disadvantaged populations. 

 

Business Hall of Fame Award / Centennial Business Hall of Fame
Selected by Awards Committee

This award recognizes local businesses for their longtime and significant contributions to the economic, civic growth and well-being of our community. All Business Hall of Fame award recipients are companies that have made the six-county region their choice for business operations for more than 50 (or 100) years. This award is reserved for a company that is headquartered in the Sacramento Region

 

Young Professional of the Year
Selected by Awards Committee/Metro EDGE Leadership Council

The Young Professional of the Year Award recognizes an individual 40 years of age or younger who has made exceptional and sustained contributions to the Sacramento Region and business community. Eligible honorees must live and work in the greater six-county region and demonstrate significant community involvement—either through active engagement with Metro EDGE, the Metro Chamber, or externally across the region.
